Yes, Luisa will be getting out of the hospital today!!! We all have feelings are of elation, gratitude, fear BUT most of all, we are filled with hope. Hope that mom will recover to live independently, hope that mom and dad will have the happiness in their retirement years they have worked together for 37 years to have, and hope that mom will one day understand the magnitude of the injury, love, recovery and miracle in the whole process she has been through.
I will continue to update the blog as we have news or exciting updates. WE thank each and every one of you for taking the journey up until this point with us. It has been through your prayers that we have sustained ourselves and through the grace of God that mom is emerging with a smile on her face and a will to overcome obstacles.
At some point we will be making a "Ripoll's Gratitude Journey" to Lafayette, Austin and New Orleans, stay tuned for more details. As I stated in my very first post, we still have a long road ahead of us-but the destination has been laid. Please continue to keep Luisa and Charlie in your prayers!
Until then, love each other and never loose hope.

What wonderful news!!
I believe that we have all learned a valuable lesson from this expeirence.
That lesson is, we all need the support of those around us and with God in our life anything is possible.
Have a great weekend.
What a great Mother's Day for all of you--the gift of life and living. You've been in our prayers, and will continue to be. God's blessing to all of you.
Robin, Oh wow! Your video made me smile and cry all at the same time. What a gift!! I'm so happy for the Ripolls. Your mom looks beautiful
How fitting is the theme song that Mr. Charlie is wearing purple, the tote bag is gold and Lo is wearing green! Mardi Gras colors! I know Rob didn't plan it at the time but, how perfect!
Lo, it was so wonderful to see you today in your new home in Houston. I can't wait to go antique shopping with you so that you can add your final flare that only you have the touch to do. I am so proud of you and it was a breath of fresh air to see you looking so beautiful in your home. I am calling Vogue tomorrow. You are their next model, for sure :)
Mr. Charlie, you are amazing and I am so proud of you as well. Lo pulled though because of the wonderful man that she has by her side. It was wonderul to see you both together again at home.
This has been a true testament of love and you all have inspired hundreds of families along the way.
Rob, Brad, Chaz, Claire, Andrew and Aves, you all have raised the bar as to what family truly means. I am so blessed to be a part of your lives.
Much love and happiness to you all,
Heather

What a wonderful weekend to go home! Happy Mother's Day!
Mrs. Luisa, you truly are a walking miracle... your strong will to improve every day is so inspirational! Ripoll's and Pippin's, I was overwhelmed watching the video, knowing only bits and pieces of what you have all been through, and knowing that you never gave up and are now able to bring Mrs. Lu home. The power of love & prayer is amazing! I will continue to pray for the transition. Thanks for sharing this journey with me :)
Love, Ramey
