Ash Wednesday

Mardi Gras isn't exactly how Luisa would have chosen to spend it, but we always have next year-thank goodness. Dad met with her doctor today and she told him that they are very pleased with her progress. She is getting stronger and also starting to slowly retain information.

Tomorrow she has her long awaited neurosurgeon appointment. Her surgery will take place in Houston, I will let you know the date when we know. Right now, the plan is for her to be released from TIRR next Thursday, she will then go to Galveston to continue her tour of rehabilitation facilities. This particular rehab. focuses on transitioning people with brain injuries back to society. The date could change, and hopefully it will if she has her surgery next week.

One thing we have learned from all of this, one day at a time.

Peace,
Lu's Crew
