The Best Day Yet

This picture was taken today (Saturday)-to really give all of you a better idea of where mom is we thought we should share this with you.

When we got to the hospital today she was sitting (in a wheelchair) in the room with the rest of the patients while they were eating. She gave us a big smile and we all went to her room to visit. She told Chaz "I like your shoes" (LSU sandals) this was the longest sentence she has said yet. While the nurse was feeding her, the tube started to leek and before she could get there mom had already clamped the feeding tube. Thumbs up is not a task that is hard anymore-in fact she makes a face when we ask her to do it.

We were able to take her outside today (her first time since Oct. 31) we had a nice time and she really enjoyed the change of scenery (can you blame her). There were so many amazing moments in our visit-words are escaping me (yes me!)

Faith, Courage, Love
Luisa's ecstatic family!

WOW...she looks awesome!! She looks like she is sitting back and chillin' in her chair like "whatsup." She looks just like Jerry with her short do. I bet Mrs. Lois likes what she sees too. I am so glad you put a pic of her on here that way people who have not seen her yet can see how well she is doing.

Robin:

We love coming to check in on your mom's progress. Each day is better than the one before! My family...from here to Canada...thinks often of your family and prays for your mom's continued recovery. She looks fantastic.

Kristin

P.S. I think you may be on to a new career in writing, Robin. I'll be your publicist.

So, I left a comment earlier this afternoon and didn't expect to hear such great progress by this evening! She seems to be getting better and better by the hour and she looks so good (especially smiling for the picture)!
What your family and your mom are going through is not in vain...I think everyone keeping up with her progress realizes that miracles are happening and prayers are being answered. I am humbled every time I read this blog.
Thanks,
Ramey

Luisa's progress seems to be full steam ahead. Her strength is amazing and everyone in the picture looks filled with joy!

As I check the blog each day I am astounded by her continued move forward and the way in which Robin relays this to everyone.

Prayers are said daily at Holy
Rosary Academy in all of my classes. The children are very interested in her progress also.

Keep up the good work Luisa and Robin!

This is my first comment because it's the first time I've visited the blog (and I read it from start to finish). You guys have been in my thoughts and prayers and I am so pleased to read of all her progress! What a true miracle. She looks beautiful ... and none of you have aged a bit!

Keep the good news coming!

Merry Christmas to you all,
Megan (Marine) Perkins
