Tonight I asked my mom if she remembers us telling her why she is in the hospital---and she did!!! Since her accident, her short term memory has not been in tact and tonight was the first time she was able to verbalize to me that she was hit by a car in front of Harrah's Casino. Of course, she still can't recall quite a bit, but she showed tonight that she is starting to have the ability to do so.
We heard from the nurses that she had another great day today. Tonight she seemed really tired, but we managed to giggle a few times over silly things. Andrew and Ava came up to see her as well, Andrew talked to her like she was a little girl and Ava wanted to eat her dinner. She loved every minute of it!!

Your mom looks incredible!!! (of course, I'm not talking about the pic of her at the Hilton with you, but for sure the one of her walking with PT!) I'm so excited for her! Please send her my thoughts & prayers!

I have never know anything to get the best of your mom. She is always positive and moves in a forward direction. It is wonderful that you are able to spend this time with her. Often we wish to do certain things but we either don't have the time or the means to do it. Thank you for your time and hard work with the blog in order for us to share in your mom recovery.
