Mmmm, Sweet 'Taters

Tonight mom had her first pureed food that she enjoyed. She loved the sweet potatoes that she was served, which is no surprise because she was a fan before the accident. She is eating really well, so that can only be good news for her strength mentally and physically.

Andrew, Brad and I spoke with her tonight on the phone and she sounds really good. She is not much of a conversationalist, but I don't mind talking and telling her how much I and all of you care.

Since this is the holiday season, and it seems all of you enjoy this blog, I have an idea. All of you through this journey have asked God to help mom and us, so in order to give thanks for his blessings I ask that you do something nice for a stranger. Our lives have been touched by friends and strangers alike in this time, we all make a difference in others lives-the impact on someone can be huge!

Thank you friends.

I took your advice Robin. Today I took my mother to lunch and gave the waiter a double tip. I told him the story and he was delighted that I chose him as my stranger.

This reminds me of the movie, "Pay It Forward." Great idea.

I see you, Chaz, your mother and your Dad on Oprah one day telling your great story.

Keep the good news coming!!!

Great idea Robin! I did a good deed the other day. I picked up a strange old lady and helped her finish her Christmas shopping. Well she wasn't really a stranger, but kind of strange. OK it was my Granny. But the thought was there. I will try again with a stranger this time!

Ha Ha...only kidding Granny!

Really great idea though! Hopefully more people will post their good deeds too.

Rips & Pips,
I can attest to how well Luisa is doing...great strides have been made in the last few weeks! I attribute her progress to the love & devotion of Charlie & the "kids". Like I told Luisa yesterday (and she smiled) "They wuz raised right!" If we all remember that each of us is a stranger, then we are not strangers after all. Keep up the great work (both family & Luisa)! The coming year is truly going to be a miracle before our eyes.
Love,
Jeanne
