Today mom had therapy all day so we expected her to be getting some rest when we saw her this evening-and much to our delight, she was wide awake.
It is normal with brain injuries for patients to enjoy seeing some people more than others, and mom enjoys seeing me and Chaz and not so much Dad and her brother, Jerry. It is starting to be a joke between my Dad and uncle to see how many smiles they can get out of her a visit-let's just say they have to try REALLY hard. BUT everytime we (her kids) go to kiss her goodbye, she puckers her lips when we go to her cheek.

Your title is so funny because as I was clicking on the blog just now, I was thinking "I wonder what Robin's title will be today?" LOL!!! Of course your mom is going to like seeing you and Chaz more...look at your dad and Uncle Jaaary (that's Andrew talking)...they are not as cute as you guys :) I can see your dad acting a fool trying to get a reaction out of your mom. I am sure she is thinking "will he ever stop?" I hate to tell her that after all this time, I don't think he will. Charles would not be Charles if he wasn't acting silly!

I agree with everyone else - Let her say whatever she wants!!!!! As one of the nurses in the family, It sounds like she is doing AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!(it seems like only yesterday that we took our boards together. Your mom was sooo nervous) but we had fun. I can't wait to see her in person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Tell your Dad hello!!!
