Our visit with mom went well today. She was awake for an hour and a half and did respond to us when we would ask her to try and do things. Now, when I say respond, it is not every time, but she does seem to grasp things when we challenge her to try and do something like moving her foot if she hears us. It is great to spend time with her and the only thing I can tell you is that with all of the uncertainty that lies in front of us, I can feel her spirit in that room-it gives us great hope.
Just in case you didn't read the post I put up earlier this morning, we are asking for no visitors at this time-she needs all of her strength to become more aware and start rehabilitation.
Your support is carrying us through this.

Robin,
We are so excited to hear of the wonderful progress your Mom is making!! Your Mom (and your whole family) have been in our thoughts and prayers every day since day one. Please know that every time we read your updates we feel as though we are right there with you all! It's so wonderful to hear such great news lately! Her progress in this short amount of time is amazing, but we all know she is such a strong and wonderful person and it couldn't be any other way! We will continue to read your updates (this blog was a great idea!) and pray every day for all of you!! ---------- Stacey, Teddy, Abby, Patty, Louis, Jen, Jason, and Mr. Zammit
Dear Robin et al,
The news of your mom's progress is so great, and gives us one more thing to be thankful for during this week of Thanksgiving. Just that she's already to the stage of rehab makes my heart full!! Be assured that you are all in my thoughts/prayers daily.
