Momma Can You Hear Me?

I couldn't wait to post this! Last night we went to see mom and she was not fully awake, but we could tell she is starting to become more awake mentally. While we were talking to her, I asked her to give us a thumbs up-AND SHE DID! Lu also had a tear on her left side and she took her pointer finger and wiped it. I don't have to tell everyone that that was the best thumbs up I have ever seen-to see that she is starting to comprehend was truly a miracle unfolding in front of our eyes.

Robin,
Wow! Thank you so much for starting this blog. When Cara asked us to pray for her friend; I asked her name and when she said Luisa. Well, the tears started. I love your mom. I have been praying for her everyday. She is such a strong woman and you must be just like her. The blog has really kept me up to date and the pictures of your family are awesome. Please keep up the positive spirit. Your family is beautiful...I haven't seen you since high school. Please know that hundreds of people you don't even know are praying for your mom right here in Broussard, LA. Many Blessings to you and your family.

I hadn't checked the blog because I didn't think you would be updating while in town. How awesome that Luisa is responding to your voice! Each day seems like such a big difference from the day before. It seems like the accident was so long ago, but she has improved so much in such a short time. Never did I think in less than three weeks she would be starting rehab. I look forward to hearing what she will do today. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Hey Ripooll Family,

I am so happy to hear about Luisa's progress. I just learned about the blog and am moved to hear about all the progress and hope. I can't think of your mom without thinking of the little dog that was always in her purse when she would pick up Chaz and I from basketball practice. Your family has been and will continue to be in my prayers. Chaz and Robin, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you in Austin.

Love,
