Luisa opened her eyes this morning!!!!!! My dad walked in the hospital this morning and saw those brown eyes again!! She isn't opening them fully, but is opening and blinking a little and then closing them again. As if that wasn't awesome enough, she was also taken off of the ventilator this morning too!!! I have to be honest, all of this good news has given me the best headache of my life.
The road to recovery began today, we have a long journey ahead of us-but are so thankful for the ride. Please continue to keep Luisa, Lola, Weezy, LuBob or whatever name you may refer to her as in your prayers.

We just want to let you and your family know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We are excited to hear your mom has opened her eyes already!
