Sleepy Day

With all of the moving around mom has been doing, today she decided she needed to nap all day. We tried to get her to stir, but she did not budge-she was peacefully sleeping.

We were able to meet with two doctors and they were happy with the status of mom this soon after her accident. With brain injuries, the doctor told us, it is not uncommon for patients to be drowsy for the first month or so. Her pulmonologist came in and was pleased with her breathing-he said that if she continues to gain strength that she could get her trach out (no time frame was given).

Robin, I am so happy that you got to spend such a great weekend with your mom! She continues to be in our daily thoughts and prayers! “Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” ~Kahlil Gibran.
Love you! Elise
